Sound Healing with Annette
Bristol Gong Baths
Thank you for visiting the website
I'm Annette Shaw, musician, sound medicine weaver and teacher.
I have been tuning in with sound, colour and energy since childhood.
It has a way of transforming our lives, retuning and restoring us,
almost without us even noticing it happening.
Sound, directed with intention and integrity can dissolve energetic blocks and
stagnation, loosen energetic knots resulting from trauma, habits, thoughts, beliefs, wounds and allows our energy field to flow, illuminate, expand even more into radiance and wellbeing.
This energy field is the library, storing all that we have experienced.
I work with you and the infinite energy within and beyond and
somehow there is no difference between.
Sound works through the layers, transmuting, retuning us
beyond time and space.
The more we can experience this and begin to allow our perceptions to change, the more we atune ourselves to our intuition, our inner strength and calm, creative ways of looking at things, wisdom and expansive, inner freedom and magic.
Seemingly imperceptible shifts, can change everything.
I work 1-1 with clients, also in groups, both in the workplace, within schools, friends, families, ceremonies and end of life.
I also run Gong Practitioner Training courses and Gong Weekend Workshops in Bristol for
The College of Sound Healing. Please click on the button for more information.
The gong is one of the most powerful tools for Sound Healing, carrying a vast spectrum of tones unmatched by any other instrument. When played with skill and presence, its deep vibrations move through the whole being—restoring balance on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels.
We can picture the body as a musical instrument, with different life experiences and ways we gather to cope, hindering us from resonating at our true natural resonating frequencies.
The gong acts as the re-tuning force, bringing everything back into harmony,
our entire being immersed in a bath of sound.
Integrity and intention are vital when working with an instrument of such depth and power. In the right hands, the gong is more than music, it is a practice of healing, a release of tension, a path to deep rest, and a doorway into meditation and spiritual growth.

About the event
As a mother, piano teacher and sound therapist, I am well used to the pressure upon children and teens from school, phones and various aspects of life.
A Sound Bath offers the opportunity for deep rest and replenishment and a retune to true self. An hour will seem like ten minutes as sound used in this way induces deep relaxation by leading the brain into theta and even delta states, so no need to worry about concentration levels or abilities to keep still. Sound used in this way is soothing to the soul and regular attendees report feeling more connection to their space within, to creative possibilities and to an inner calm and wisdom.
